Staying in a yurt is a magical experience! You can watch the night sky through the circular roof from the comfort of your bed, lulled into a peaceful sleep by the sounds of the night and relish the romantic, almost medieval charm of a circular space, especially with the warm glow of the woodstove in the cooler months!
If you are unfamiliar with a yurt, they are beautifully simple traditional nomadic tents originating in Mongolia. A strong wooden lattice work structure, covered in felt and canvas, providing a shelter that can be used all year round, with the help of heating during the cool months.
Our welcoming and spacious yurts afford a very stylish and comfortable manner in which to experience the great outdoors.
The two yurts have been decorated in a contemporary/ethnic/rustic style (woodland chic we like to think).
Outside the yurts, we have built covered wooden decks that are situated on the edge of a south facing terrace overlooking the woodland below. Here you can enjoy the sun and the mountain air.
